Directions for Use

Samrat’s Epoxy Resin Alaska Special White is a clear-coat system specialized for use on Alaska White and all other white granites. Epoxy Resin Alaska Special White repairs minor surface deformities such as pores, cracks and holes; and greatly enhances the post-polish gloss and shine of the stone surface.

Epoxy Resin Alaska Special White is completely transparent, imparts no color of its own and thus preserves the natural color and texture of the stone surface while providing high chemical resistance for a long-lasting glossy finish.

For most stones:

Grind the stone using desired set of abrasives
Thoroughly mix 4 parts in weight of Epoxy Resin Alaska Special White Part A with 1 part of Epoxy Resin Alaska Special White Part B
Coat the surface with the resin mixture using a cotton roller
Ensure to coat in straight long swaths in two mutually perpendicular directions along the surface of the stone
Allow at least 24 hours for the coating to cure completely
Polish the stone to reveal an extremely glossy surface with all surface deformities repaired and natural color of the stone preserved

For a particularly damaged stone:

Thoroughly mix 4 parts in weight of Epoxy Resin Alaska Special White Part A with 1 part of Epoxy Resin Alaska Special White Part B
Coat the stone surface with the resin mixture using a cotton roller before grinding
Ensure to coat in straight long swaths in two mutually perpendicular directions along the surface of the stone
Allow at least 24 hours for the coating to cure completely
Grind the stone to reveal a smooth surface with most of the surface deformities filled and repaired
Coat the grinded surface again with the resin mixture in a similar fashion
Allow at least 24 hours for the coating to cure completely
Based on the extent of damage multiple post-grinding coats may be required
Polish the stone to reveal an extremely glossy surface with all surface deformities repaired and natural color of the stone preserved
